In the closing days of Edo-period Japan, a clumsy waitress named Fuu rescues two strangers from execution: Mugen, a wild, breakdance-fighting outlaw with a self-taught style, and Jin, a stoic ronin with razor-precise swordsmanship. The two would just as soon kill each other, but Fuu makes them swear off their duel until they help her find a mysterious samurai who smells of sunflowers. Set to a lo-fi hip-hop soundtrack, the trio drift across feudal Japan through yakuza wars, con artists, lost loves, and ghosts of their pasts, trading blows and slowly forging an unlikely bond along the way.
