Tomoya Okazaki is a delinquent who sees no future for himself, spending his days skipping school alongside his friend Youhei Sunohara. His routine is broken when he crosses paths with Nagisa Furukawa, a soft-spoken girl who cheerfully shouts the names of things she loves to keep herself going. What starts as a fleeting, awkward encounter slowly turns into a genuine friendship. Learning that illness cost Nagisa a school year and that she dreams of reviving the drama club, Tomoya joins her cause, and through the connections he builds along the way, begins to see life differently.
